Three Ed’ Traceurs in Sunday Times

Edinburgh Parkour in The Sunday Times

A wee while back three of our most esteemed traceurs were called upon to provide a little information for freelance journalist Claire Sawers. She had been tasked with writing an article about Parkour in Scotland for the Scottish Sunday Times. The traceurs lucky enough to volunteer themselves (or be volunteered by me, hehe) were Stuart (Speedy), Meghan (MCP) and John (Hedgehog) who will all feature in the article.

The article will ‘almost definitely’ be in next Sunday’s (26th) Times after it was held back from last weekend’s issue. You’ll find it in the Ecosse supplement if you want to check that it’s there whilst in the newsagents before spending £1.50! The main photo (I don’t know how many there will be) will probably be one of those used in Speedy’s Daily Record article from a while back – we should really get some more newpaper shoots going on folks, they’re hardly the best photos we’ve got to offer! But that’s a side-note.

So, sit back and relax until Sunday draws in. Then, rush franticly to the newsagents with change in hand and check the article out!

I’m sure it will be great Claire. :)

Update (11/12/2005):
The article was published in the 11th December 2005 edition of the paper and there should be an online version of the main text of the article here: No fear, no limits, no safety net.

I’ll leave my own comments for a later date, once I’ve read over it a few more times (I love picking on the minor details) but from initial thoughts, Claire you had nothing to be worried about.
