Hotspots
Hi folks,
On our travels around Edinburgh there are a number of places which we particularly like to hang around at. These are our ‘hotspots’. Over time, a more comprehensive (and more detailed) set of pages will give information about each of our hotspots but in the mean time you’re just getting a quick list of them.
Princes Street Area
- The Wellington Monument
- Princes Mall
- Kings Stables Multi-storey Carpark
Old Town Area
- Chessels Land
- The Church Rails
- Bristo Square
- Art College (Lauriston Place)
- St John’s Hill (RJ’s flat)
- George Square
- Scottish Pariliament & Dynamic Earth
- The “Bottom of the Mile” Areas
- Grassmarket / Grannys Green Steps
Western
- Sheraton Grand Hotel / Lothian Road Area
- Fountainpark
Others
- Kings Buildings (South Ed)
- Cameron Toll (South Ed)
- Leith (not explored very much, but looks promising)
- Ocean Terminal / Harbour
Please note that whilst the hotspot pages are being developed, any photos or information about them which you want to provide is welcomed! Remember, there is also our Hotspots Forum on the forums.
Bristo Square
The upside! Big walls to vault, great little tree swinging bitty, fun steps, usually quieter than Wellington monument. Nice and central. friendly students and bmx’ers kicking about.
The downside: Hard too move for skaters and bikers sometimes. It’s a late night hang out for hang out for alkies, so there’s broken glass in the wooded areas.
where about is the indoor gym tht u r in while doing the backflip video? plz tell
That would be Lasswade, only available to people 16+ unfortunately.
Where is Lasswade? and when do they hold their sessions
Lasswade? Check out the forum topic at http://ed-pk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=829&hl=lasswade
hey is there like a community centre in the lothians that you can do this stuff like practice on crash mats and can you do this in the rain and i would like the parkour rules i will send pics in but i cant get vids
You guys should come and try out leith and ocean terminal the carpark is awesome it has some great cat leaps and rails and has loads of oppertunities for climbing… i just messed about a bit and it was immense so i’m going back to have a proper look soon………
My 10 year old son is desparate to join some kind of parkour club (if one exists). As much as I try to put him off, nothing works!!! Is there a club where he could train indoors, feel it would be safer than him just taking a chance doing stuff outside!!
Many thanks
