Church Rails (Bedlam Theatre)

On the Forrest Road side of the Bedlam Theatre (end of George IV Bridge) there is a set of railings (for disabled access to the theatre) which prove useful for us traceurs.

Conditions

Cannot be used when wet, and the rails stay wet for a significant period of time. The rails are also gradually getting wobblier and wobblier. Stay off the rail end, nearest the road unless you fancy paying for a new one.

Plod

We have never (ever!) had any problem with police or security at the church rails.

Supplies

Right next to subway (10% off with a young scot card) if you fancy that sort of thing. Greggs is down the road, but you won’t be going there right? Forrest Café is just round the corner or there’s a newsagents too.

Watch your Back

There’s hardly ever anyone on the actual rails however it is just next to a main road so there are constantly pedestrians walking past. That said, people-traffic is still generally quite light.

PK Heaven

A nice place, the rails are good for practising many different techniques and inventing ‘new’ ones. They are also great for balancing on. It’s also a good place for a nice game of mini-tig. However, it’s small so it’s not a good idea to go there if there is a big jam and that also means that you will get bored of it after a maximum of an hour if in a big group.

Overall

A nice place to go after being at Bristo for a while or after you’re tired and you want to do some gentle PK.
