George Square
Prime university land with an array of little training spots all in close proximity to each other. Just seconds away from Bristo Square, the two areas can be linked very easily with a variety of interesting obstacles.
Conditions
The uni buildings provide a degree of shelter but many of the spots get drenched. However, the walls stay pretty grippy even when sodden. If you need shelter, head for the NW corner of the square where there are some rails under cover.

Plod
Plod won’t be a problem at all. The university security guards are nice but they will ask you to leave if they see you, which is generally only if there are a lot of you or if you’re making a lot of noise (Felix…). Just be nice and move along.

Supplies
There are no immediate shops but the nearest ones aren’t too far away. Either head up to near the Church Rails or over to Nicolson Street. Uni students can get into Potterow shop which is closer, just off Bristo Square.

Watch your back
It’s practically deserted, except perhaps the occasional cyclist parking their bike or students walking past.

PK Heaven
Small, but a really great place. The NW corner has it all, a great piece of scaffolding (not forever) for great flow and laches, and great underbars There’s a huge box for vaulting over/onto and a nice set of rails. The rest of George Square has lots to play on too from the Neuroscience building on the NE corner with Appleton Tower just off, to the ‘back’ areas down the East side and the walls along the Southern aspect.

Overall
This place is perfect for a small group of traceurs (maybe 5 at most) where you can all be doing different things and there are no queues. A great place for a day’s conditioning provided security don’t move us along.
